Introducing Johnston County Creates
The Johnston County Arts Council is pleased to announce a new project highlighting literary, performing, and visual arts and artists in our community: a premium-color coffee table book titled Johnston County Creates. The book, to be published in Spring 2023, will feature arts organizations, spotlight individual artists, and include a directory of creative resources throughout Johnston County.
Local artists and arts organizations in the fields of culinary, dance, entertainment, fashion, film, music, painting, photography, pottery, theater, writing and more are invited to apply for inclusion in the book. Individual amateur or professional artists 18 years or older, as well as businesses and organizations, may apply for themselves or on behalf of a fellow artist or organization. Those not physically located in the county lines will be asked for their connection to the arts community in Johnston County.
Applications will be posted online on October 25 on Facebook: @JohnstonCountyCreates and @JohnstonCountyArtsCouncil, and on the arts council website: jcartscouncil.org and must be submitted by midnight on November 22, 2022.
